Meribel

Situated in the breathtaking snow capped mountains of the Alps lies the region of France known as the ‘Trois Vallées’, or ‘Three Valleys’. As the name would suggest, this extensive area, famed for its skiing, consists of three roughly parallel valleys, the central one of which contains the resort of Meribel.

Meribel was founded by a British Colonel, Peter Lindsay, in 1938 and has long been appreciated by British skiers. Amazingly, despite its popularity Meribel has managed to stay faithful to his original concept of a traditional chalet village. Every building is constructed in local stone and wood, due to this, many consider Meribel to be the prettiest ski resort within the Three Valleys.

Due to Méribel’s central location within the Three Valleys it forms the hub of the biggest linked ski area in the world. Skiers and snowboarders a like, will discover 600km of piste suitable for all abilities set amid amazing scenery. Access to the neighbouring resorts of Courchevel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, and now a fourth Valley at Les Orelles is easy.

With so much to choose from, the skiing and snowboarding possibilities are endless....
